Peter Von Bemmel Paintings

Peter Von Bemmel was a German painter and etcher who was born in 1685 in Nuremberg. He was the son of the sculptor and architect Johann Christoph Bemmel. Peter trained under his father before moving on to further his education in the arts. He became known for his landscape paintings which often captured the romantic and picturesque qualities of nature.

Von Bemmel's works were influenced by the Dutch landscape tradition, reflecting the impact of artists like Jacob van Ruisdael.
