Luca Forte Paintings

Luca Forte was an Italian Baroque painter who is best known for his still life paintings. He was active during the first half of the 17th century, mainly in the city of Naples, which was a vibrant artistic center during that time. Although not much is known about his early life, he is believed to have been born around the year 1600. Forte's work reflects the influence of Caravaggio, as seen in his use of dramatic light and shadow, as well as a realistic representation of subjects.
