Frans Slager Paintings

He belonged to a family of artists known as the Slager family, which included his grandparents, parents, and siblings, all of whom were involved in art. Frans was particularly known for his landscape paintings, still lifes, and portraits.

Frans Slager received his art education from his father, Petrus Slager, who was also a painter and provided his initial training. He further developed his artistic skills at the Royal School of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch, where he was exposed to various styles and techniques. Throughout his career, Slager exhibited a strong affinity for the natural landscape of the Netherlands, capturing the essence of the Dutch countryside with a rich palette and attention to detail.
