He was part of the Olot School of landscape painting, a movement that emphasized the beauty of natural scenes in Catalonia and was influential in the development of modern Catalan art. Vayreda's work is characterized by its detailed depiction of nature, the use of light, and a certain lyrical quality that captures the essence of the Catalan countryside.
