Cornelia Johanna Wilhelmina 'Kee' Slager was a Dutch painter born on April 15, 1861, in Maassluis, Netherlands. She was part of a family of artists, as all her siblings were also involved in the arts. Kee demonstrated an interest and talent for painting from an early age, which was nurtured within her family environment.

Kee Slager received her artistic training from her father, Leendert Slager, who was himself a painter. She continued to develop her skills under the guidance of her brother, Nicolaas Slager, further honing her technique. Kee specialized in still lifes, genre scenes, and particularly flower paintings, which became her most recognized subject matter.

Throughout her career, Kee Slager exhibited her works alongside her family members, contributing to the artistic reputation of the Slager family in the Dutch art scene. Her works were appreciated for their detail and the delicate handling of color and light. Kee was an active participant in the local art community and her works were featured in various exhibitions.
