These works were later used to illustrate Olivier's travel accounts, and they contributed significantly to Noël's reputation as a skilled draftsman and observer of foreign lands.

Upon his return to France, Noël exhibited his Eastern-inspired works in the Paris Salons, receiving positive attention and accolades. He became noted for his ability to render landscapes with a delicate and precise hand, and his use of watercolors was particularly admired for its translucency and color vibrancy.

Throughout his career, Alexis Nicolas Noël continued to travel and paint, visiting various European countries and documenting his experiences through his art. His works often depict the romantic allure of the exotic and the picturesque beauty of the countryside.
