The "Tabula Rogeriana," also known as the "Book of Roger" or "Kitab Rujar," is a highly significant historical map of the world created by the Arab geographer Abu Muhammad Al-Idrisi (also known as Edrisi). Commissioned in 1154 by the Norman King Roger II of Sicily, Al-Idrisi's map and accompanying text, the "Nuzhat al-mushtāq fi'khtirāq al-āfāq" (The delight of him who desires to journey through the climates), represent a monumental work in the history of cartography and geography.

Al-Idrisi's map was groundbreaking for its time, integrating the knowledge of the Arab and Muslim worlds with that of the classical Greek and Roman scholars. The map is oriented with the South at the top, reflecting the Islamic tradition of maps at the time.
