''Jimbutsu Tokaido'' (人物東海道), also known as the "Tokaido with Figures" or "Tokaido with People," is a series of ukiyo-e woodblock prints created by the renowned Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige, also known as Ando Hiroshige. This series, produced in the mid-19th century, is one of several interpretations of the famous Tokaido road by Hiroshige. The Tokaido was the most traveled route connecting Edo (modern-day Tokyo) with Kyoto, the imperial capital, during the Edo period.
Hiroshige's ''Jimbutsu Tokaido'' distinguishes itself from his other Tokaido series by emphasizing human figures and daily activities along the road, rather than focusing primarily on the landscape.
