"Presentazione Al Tempio," one of the seminal works by Italian Renaissance painter Giovanni Bellini, hails from Late Medieval period. Completed circa 1469, Bellini painted this piece during the early phase of his career. Part of the Pinacoteca di Brera collection in Milan, the work showcases Bellini's mastery over color and light, which would later influence generations of Italian painters.

The oil and tempera on panel piece measures 80 cm x 105 cm and represents the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple, an episode in the life of Jesus Christ described in the Gospel of Luke (2:22–40). This was the moment when Mary and Joseph took the infant Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem forty days after his birth to complete Mary's ritual purification after childbirth, and to perform the redemption of the firstborn son, in obedience to the Law of Moses.
