The "Navicella" (1305-1313) is a renowned mosaic originally created by the Italian painter Giotto di Bondone for the porch of the old St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. The term "navicella" means "little ship" in Italian, which is a reference to the work's depiction of the biblical scene where the Apostle Peter walks on water towards Jesus Christ.
